I want to build a carputer using the usual PC hardware.

I'm gonna have to put a lot of thought into this, i want to run dual 10" monitors for the new one so I will also need a card, I'm glad you thought of this, maybe I can figure it out before I start.

Well, if your motherboard already has onboard graphics, that can support two monitors, and all you plan on doing with it is play music, than you can probably get away without a card. It doesn't hurt to try it without the card, and if it doesn't work out, than drop the money on the card.

*New vehicle and system coming soon.*

My motherboard doesn't support dual monitor, I'm using a card now for that reason in my house. So it's find a psu or get a new card or motherboard.

pretty much exactly, you just noticed the problem first. and what's with the cards these days? they all have DVI and one mini HDMI port. I want two normal HDMI ports, is this just not cool anymore or what? I've been searching for a new one for the house.
