Kustom99Dime Posted September 10, 2012 Report Posted September 10, 2012 Alright guys, Just got a 2012 WRX and looking to upgrade. So far planning on running the Pioneer Avic-Z140 for the radio. Might also run the RF 3sixty.3 with it. I was looking at doing an entire Focal setup after that. Looking for opinions on their amps/subs/speakers...... Either going that route or RF ~1999 S10 Ext Cab with 2 18s <----Work in progress soon to be bagged with 4 18s in the cab, amps/batts in bed, 4 alts + stock one(hopefully)
lextruck Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 I have a few sets of their separates in different vehicles and have installed more than I can count. Great sounding mids. Not too sure bout the amps. I ran their Kevlar 18 for a little while but think it was in the wrong box. Got pretty loud for one sub but swapping it out for some DCs
mrd6 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 I love the sound of the focal power series component speakers I believe they are called, any lower levels i don't find to be anything particularly special in my opinion. Focal is nice gear and will not disappoint you I am sure but be prepared to spend, spend, spend! I believe you can also get equal or better sound from less expensive gear. Also looking towards the symmetrical power amps With those hi cap addons.
