4th Order Blow-through Design

Well I have decided to do a blow through on my Dakota. While i've made many boxes, never a 4th order.

My current setup: 2 sa 12's on sax.1200. A ported box tuned to around 33-34, I love the sound of it.

Its time to get my seats back! and hopefully get a little louder in the process :)

From browsing around here I get that basically a 4th order is a ported box on one side and a sealed on the other. So correct me if i'm wrong: (starting out with 2 SA 15's.)

Sealed side would be to specs, around 2.5 cubic feet per sub. Ive heard talk of ratio's, but what would the ported side need to be, the recommended 7-8 cubic feet? and then most people tune to around the 45-55 Hz region? What would you recommend tuning to so I get a similar sound to my current box? (a daily musical box)

The port would be partially external and of course the part going to the cab. Any help is appreciated!

ported chamber needs to be at least twice the size of the sealed chamber. For a musical box, go with 2:1 ratio. Which would be 5 cu ft sealed, 10 cu ft ported. I am working on a blow through 4th order as well. Good luck!

Forgot to mention, (and won't let me edit for some reason) with a 4th order you tune the ported chamber a lot higher than normal. For what you want, I would tune at about 46-48 hz. I think that would be about perfect.

So taking a hint from this:

Doing around 3.5 sealed and 7.5 ported tuned to around 46 Hz Leaves me with a port 10x11 and about 10 inches deep. Do these numbers sound good? Or should I bump up the volume a little on both sides? That puts it at about 110 square inches of port.
