super slap 405 Posted October 12, 2012 Report Posted October 12, 2012 i was considering lowering my taurus closer to ground a little i have heard a cheap way to do it is just cut one coil off all the way around until you get desired height anyone tried this or know someone who did kinda on a budget so any advice is grateful
BPacak Posted October 12, 2012 Report Posted October 12, 2012 Not the best idea, when you cut the spring it is changing the spring rate make it easier to compress. Since you drive a taurus you clearly arent racing or anything haha so it wouldnt be to big of a deal. If anything start with half a coil and make sure they are all cut evenly.
super slap 405 Posted October 12, 2012 Author Report Posted October 12, 2012 yea i have a baby an 1 on way so i dont race just think it would look slightly better lowered they are high stock cars if you ask me i also removed spoiler it just didnt fit the car but will it make the ride of my car more bumpy if i remove some coil
