Charles Stites
95 mustang stock electrical and alternator (130 amp) im going to be doing the big 3 upgrade and switching to a 200 amp alternator in the next week or so. which battery should i use as a secondary for my stereo? currently running a RF prime 1200.1 and RF prime 250.4 im pretty happy with this setup and if anything i may goto a bigger or punch series amp for my mids and highs...right now at full tilt my voltage drop is from 14.6 to 12.8 at idle and barely drops to 13.6 at full rpm. TRON
Get the biggest battery that fits where your stock one does! Most people will say to replace your primary battery first, before adding a second one. But talk to the folks at XS Power they know more than me. I definitely recommend XS Power! Nathan @ XSpower
With a 200 amp alt and that system you really shouldn't need a secondary battery. What is your voltage dropping to now?
Charles Stites
right now with the stereo up full tilt the voltage will drop to 12.8 or so but thats without my headlights on and the 130 amp alternator.
