Hey Everyone,

This is my first post and ive been researching for the past two weeks about designing a box. I have come up with a couple designs but im not confident enough to pull the trigger on them. I would just like a little help, where/how i should change the design, especially on port design, specifically, width vs. height. I will be running 2 sundown audio sa-12's running a hifonics brutus 1700d. trying to get my design as close to 4 cubes net and 35hz as i can. I would also like to have the rear section of the box angled with the back seats to save room in the back of my wagon. And i would also like the subs either rear or up, and port rear facing.

I'm gonna comment on this so I can go home later and post you up a GOOD screenshot of what you need to really get your numbers better. Don't be too disappointed when my box and numbers will look much different than yours. I need to know what are the dimensions you're COMFORTABLE using in the rear cargo area? I agree that 4 cubes on the power you're choosing is probably a good idea.

EDIT: I just realized that both those sets of numbers in torres look way off because the 3/4 wood thickness got unchecked somehow. i will replace these with updated graphs

Thanks a lot! I wont be dissapointed at all. I know close to nothing about building an enclosure and any help I get is appreciated.

34W x 15H x 37D (bottom) x 31 D (top) are my hatch dimensions i dont want to exceed. And if its possible i would like the back of

box to be angled with the back of the seat at 15" high the seat is set back 6" that should give you an idea of the angle. Thanks in advance!

You're doing much better, I don't think I'll need to screenshot. You should get that port area above 12 sq inches per cube. I'd suggest trying to lower the port width to play with numbers too. Bump it down to 3.5 or 3.75 is what I'd do.

You're not adding any woofer displacement which needs to be .14 per sub, so .28 total.

Thanks for the help. I'll try that. Those are the same numbers I had before just the 3/4 thickness was unchecked for some reason
