Now,,

with that hole cut.....i made a lil damn...out of masking tape..

and ill glass it all in....Now it will have a nice snug mount...to the sheetmetal....

Well......eventually....(a long long time from now)

the kit will be seamless on the car....But.... there is a great deal of work that needs to be done...before its ready to be

bonded to the car....thats why im going threough all the work of making such a clean clean piece.....front and back.....

on the car ////off the car....test fit...over and over again....

eventually when its time to join the kit to the car....it will get panel bonded to the sheetmetal..

so i want to make as much area as i can----where my skirt seats ...firmly and snugly on the sheetmetal...

If i do this correctly.......

when the time comes to bond the kit to the car.....it will be foolproof....it will not be possible to attach the parts wrong....once panel bonded.....they will simply drop right on the car....in the correct position...

and a little bit of sanding ....and blocking with the 36 grit and a long board....already trying to cut in those important lines....and there will be alot more of this to come before i start putting any Mudd in....Try to slowly build a nice straight piece out of glass....

here is that hole glassed in....Now it seats firmly on the sheetmetal...at the rear...

here it is from the back side...

the areas painted orange....is where it makes contact with the cars body.....the green arrow points to the little square that i just glassed in.

the area that is not orange.....thats where the kit makes no contact with the sheetmetal...so its been sanded with 36 grit ....and it will get 4 more layers of 1.5 oz mat

Now the last of last nites pix......since this is the final layup(for now) on the inside of the part....I used black resin dye..
