Homemade FM radio/iPod dock. Parts?

Recommended Posts

I've been searching around for a bit. I found a few photos of others' work, but no actual information as to where they got the parts, wiring, etc. I work in a pretty loud machine shop. The only radio's they'll allow are small portable 'boomboxes' if you will. Most of the radios within this size, you simply cannot hear over the machinary. So I kinda wanna build my own. Just a couple 5.25" coaxials with a tiny plate amp of some sort. I cant find the the parts I'd need for the AM/FM tuner or the iPod auxiliary input. I've considered just running a headunit, but certain things had turned me away from that idea. Thanks in advance for any info/tips.
