Peugeot 307 with Spl Dynamics system. 4x18" RE-Build WALLED +155db's

Hi. Im a guy from Finland. I wanted to start this project on here too cause i got some inspiration from other member's build's which i used to in my own system. Here's the car where all this equipment's are installed, the car need's finishing too but its what it is now. This is with the old setup i used to got. Whole car is build by me alone and all mods and stuff made myself.

Little tuned up:
Carzone Samurai bodykit
Tinted glasses
18" Chrome wheels and 225/40 tyres
some random modification
On the picture not any suspension upgrades yet, just the weight of Hi-Fi on the trunk.

Front speakers:
10 x DLS MS6A midrange/mid
6 x DLS UP1C Tweeter
4 x Peerless HDS 4" midrange

Subs:
2 x 18" Spl Dynamics SPLD1A

Amps:
Spl Dynamics S-6004 x 2
Spl Dynamics D6 x 1

Batteries:
4 x Normal start batteries 64Ah

All power wiring is done with 50mm2.

Subwoofer box was approx 320 Litres with 3 x 6" aeroports tuned to 38hz (Yes here in Finland we got bassrace where we use tones from 35hz to 56hz so it must be wide range and measuring with average on all those frequenses).

I was hitting 149,5dB's to my own meter, legal score was 148,5dB that season. Peak dB's are at 41hz 151,4dB and 44hz 151dB.





This year didnt go that well.. Tried something with differend box ended up looking like this:



So i did have 1 more sub on that system and was driving my amp at 0.66 nominal impedance, after rise it was 1.02 ohm litres were +400 tuning stayed the same 38hz and port was 800cm2. This sub setup was the awesomest what i have builded in my car i did hope for SPL!

Still the score did go down, average score was 147,5db's and no where close to 150 even on peak's.
After that i turned the port facing my trunk hatch and upped it up to 1000cm2 port area. Then i was back at 149,4db which was same than the 2 subs facing up with the aeroports.

I had this setup while and my front speakers didnt sound so "loud" anymore and i wanted the same brand my whole system. Visited the Spl Dynamics company to ask what they have to offer. After many thoughts i ended up to this as front setup:

12 x Spl Dynamics SPL 8-F midrange/mid
8 x Spl Dynamics SPL HD25T





This front setup play's really loud and clear, with those subs hitting full tilt it just sounds really nice now, never had better than these.

And i was about to buy the ext 4.0 series 4" speakers to take over those peerless ones at my A-pillars but thief's did broke to my car and stole all tweeters and those peerless drivers, so they stole 14 speakers overall. Still they couldnt stole my subs, amps or other stuff cause they were lockbolted to their enclosures with special wrench. This kinda made me angry and took the all equipment off and started to rebuild whole system. Now i have simulated all kind's of variations i could do and will start rebuilds soon enough but more later on.

For while i was thinking new setup i got this baby installed: (Gotta love it)

Time for make a new box for the increased bass needs.

First tests was done with 4 18's:

This hit +150db all way to the 26hz with Spl Dynamics D6 wired to .5 ohms. Was pretty sick already with poor batterys/alternator volts dropped to 10,7v which is quite low but the amp didnt shut down at all.

Allright, as we see, the old 6x18" box didnt work like i wanted, so i had to figure out what to do next. I wanted to keep the car 5 seats, so i can use it as a daily car. This was the best option, the idea was, fuck the SPL and just make a wall behind backseats. So C-Wall it will be, no other choises if i want more than 2 woofers inside. It was pretty tight fitment and to make proper ports was the biggest issue. Well it all started to come in piece when the project did go forward. Here is the build from start to finish (This day, still needs fixing etc, just wanted to see if it hits any SPL or will i need to re-do or chance something).

Then was time to do some testing, 1 Amplifier Spl Dynamics D4s @.5ohm. Supriced me in the first time how it hits! Still lot work to do, like do better flares to ports and squeeze the box frequenzy little higher.
