Sampsonite Posted April 1, 2008 Author Report Posted April 1, 2008 You might want to try facing them all the same way and see how it sounds. It's really loud right now, and I have about 1/4" of roof flex, but the box isn't tunned to daily listening frequencies --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com
Sampsonite Posted April 1, 2008 Author Report Posted April 1, 2008 I can go about 10" or so deep, and I have to keep 2 of the sides 9". So what should the other sides be?? Or I can shorten up the lenght of the port, and go a little longer on the unidentified sides. --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com
Sampsonite Posted April 2, 2008 Author Report Posted April 2, 2008 Amatt says add 17-18" of port Thanks Amatt! I can only do about 15, but that should help out tremendously! --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com
TrckyDvve Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 It's really loud right now, and I have about 1/4" of roof flex, but the box isn't tunned to daily listening frequencies It may be loud but I was just saying with some normal and some inverted using shared airspace they usually get out of phase. They fight each other, so you have to reverse the polarity on the inverted subs. Inverted sub = inverted polarity You may know this already but just thought I would throw that out there.
Sampsonite Posted April 4, 2008 Author Report Posted April 4, 2008 Tiny Problem, when I have the 6 subs wired like the top pic, the amp does not clip, but its not as loud as when I have it wired like the bottom pic. But when I have it wired like the bottom pic, the amp clips. These subs are 4ohm each. How should I have it wired so that the amp sees 2 ohm? Not Real loud, doesn't clip Really loud, Does Clip --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com
Sampsonite Posted April 4, 2008 Author Report Posted April 4, 2008 No Help?? --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com
BigPimpin91 Posted April 4, 2008 Report Posted April 4, 2008 You could wire all of the subs in series. 8 Ohms each sub. Then, parallel them all down to .8 ohm. But, given the coils aren't really 4 ohm, they are closer to 3.6, it would probably be a .5 Load. BigPimpin91's Banging Music
Sampsonite Posted April 5, 2008 Author Report Posted April 5, 2008 Thanks BigPimpin, but I wanna try to get as close to 4 or 2 ohm as possible. I hear my amp isn't 1 ohm stable....... But it is 2000 wrms @ both 4 & 2 ohm. I might end up selling this one and going with more amps. --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com

If your subs are single 4 ohm voice coil then think of each row of the three subs as on set and wire each set (3 subs) in parallel ( pos to pos and negative to negative) each parallel set will give you 1.33 ohms. Then you just wire the last negative on the first set to the last positive on the second set. You will only have two free terminals left which will be the the positive terminal on the first set and the negative on the second, these you will connect to your amplifier giving you a final ohm load of 2.66 theoretically. Which is right about where you what to be. I can post a diagram if need be as my post may seem confusing. 4- COMP VR 15's 2- Tang Band 8's 2- Selenium 6" 2- Selenium Tweets 2- SAX 100.4's 1- SAZ 3000D 1- KQ9 1- KX3 Hopefully it doesn't sound too horrible. lol

It took me like 5 minutes in paint EIDT: Thanks for helping man --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com
