conceptM
As said before: the power supply & battery combo will be too expensive all things considered. It can be done, but you're better off buying a home amp. I'd look for a second hand one to power the sub(s). ALPINE408
you could allways go to parts express and get a built in home audio amp Have you ever had your woofers blown?
SlamminBeats
you could do this buy a 2.1 5.1 7.1...etc receiver. use the channels to power mids and highs...should be plenty then buy a plate amp from parts express you use that to power the sub. That's where the ".1" come in from the receiver. Just run a sub out from plate amp to receiver. i have a 7.1 pioneer receiver for sale. Never used it myself, but it works fine. PM me if you want a price. It will be very cheap relative to what you would pay for a 7.1 or any new receiver.
