westsideboiii
Hello, I got an amp here. 4 Ohm rated. Is it possible to downgrade the amplifier to 2 Ohm? How? regards 1 Alpine 9886 1 Clarion APA250 100w @ 4 Ohms 1 Rockford-Fosgate 10" p2 1 Bassworx 10" Sealed enclosoure
duct_tape123
What brand amp is it? Usually if its 4 ohm rated you shouldn't try to drop below 4 ohms. You can't "downgrade" an amp to 2 ohms, it would have to be to 8 ohms. As the ohms go down the amp produces more power, which causes unstability in some amps, which is why you should run your amp the way it is supposed to be run(4 ohms). WickeD
I really doubt that amp would push that sub at all.... and the only way i think you could hook it up would be to send 4 ohms to one channel. http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woof...ohmDVC_4ohm.gif
