The clerk had superman syndrome. That's when you get the macho mind frame that you're invincible because you're packing heat. So obviously we know he was confident when he opened the door, but maybe little too eager to get into a situation. It's not a bad thing to be confident, but I think in this case he let superman syndrome get the better of his common sense and better judgement.

facts: Store is closed. It's wee hours of the morning. Angry customer locked out of the store. Clerk is safely inside.

Just call the 50's and let them deal with him, or hit that magic red button underneath the register that gets them there real quick.

cant win for losing in this country. use a firearm to defend yourself against 3 assailants, you should be arrested. get attacked by 3 assailants while you're unarmed, you should have been armed.
