Will 16 Gauge Work?

Recommended Posts

it's always best to "Go Big". in other words 16 is ok but if you can go 12. I am running 75 watts to each of my sets of components and i am using 12ga wire just to make sure it gets a nice clean signal.

Well if it carries enough energy I sort of have to keep it (16awg) because I just got a job yesterday and it will be 3 weeks until my first paycheck and I'm already 200 in dept....so I can't really spend for a while... and I won't upgrade the speakers on my Jeep anytime soon so as long as it will carry all of the wattage cleanly with that amount of power, I will be happy.... I know bigger is usually better but I'd rather keep my quality 16 gauge instead of some cheap ass 12 gauge, and I'm sick of only 2 speakers ...
