nautical7 Posted December 7, 2012 Report Share Posted December 7, 2012 It shouldn't. I rooted my Razr Maxx then unrooted it due to needing to get it replaced and nothing changed. Now, if you've done custom ROMs then you'll have to redo your setup but you need to backup your apps/files/data or whatever on an sd card because once you revert to stock it's like starting over with a brand new phone. I remember constantly doing this on my last phone and it got to the point where I rooted my current phone without any custom ROMs because it's annoying wanting to constantly try new ROMs. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Each time I've unrooted I never had to restore anything except maybe contacts but I don't recall. If you have to unroot then I'd back everything up just to be safe. Such as if you used z4root then if you go into there should be an option to revert back to stock. Or if you have SuperUser then you can use that to unroot. What's the reason for unrooting?
