iKidwell Posted December 13, 2012 Report Posted December 13, 2012 Alright guys, I just bought a pair of sundown e-12's the other day to give me some bump in my car for a while, but after about a week, it's time to start thinking about the next real build for my explorer...and i'm really having trouble on thinking of what to do. I've had a few setups, including 1 15, 2 15's a couple times, 4 12's, 2 12's, 1 18 a couple times. I want to try something different but i don't know exactly what i want to do, and with christmas coming around i'll have a good bit of money (no kids or anything) to get a build going. I'm just wanting some input on some ideas. I'm up for just about anything as far as subwoofers go, can't be too expensive, and it'll be ran on about 3k for whatever it is. So far some ideas that have come to mind are keeping 2 12's and seeing how loud i can get with them Another idea is using a beefy 18 and seeing what i can do with it Trying to stay away from 2 15's again just because i've done it so much... I could probably fit 2 18's...but i'm not too sure Edit: and don't turn this into a brand war. Edit: budget on subs is gonna be $500-600, i have plenty of electricity to back up 3kw. c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old. i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer. 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan Build in Progress
