awsgoskate Posted December 24, 2012 Report Posted December 24, 2012 Okay, so i recently turbocharged my 2006 scion tc. During this time I turned the amp off. So.... a I went to turn it on yesterday and it didn't come on. I checked all the wiring and noticed my friend tried to splice into the remote wire and failed. He didnt tell me that he left it unprotected and it could of touched metal. I ended up fixing it and still doesnt come on...!? If i hold down demo mode it will flash as if it were on display... (doesnt turn off when i turn my car off, i have to pull a ground wire or all the fuses.) Here is what i have done... Checked the ground (good) Checked power (good) Checked remote wire (good) (12 vs when key is on and goes to like 3vs with the switch off. But keeps dropping if i remember correctly.) Pulled fuses and they all have continuity... no short light and no protection mode light..... Im guessing the remote wire thingy inside the amp got burned up... i have no clue how to fix internals on amps... i cant just buy another. If ANYONE has any tips please help me.....r thank you a lot
