audioman21 Posted January 31, 2008 Report Share Posted January 31, 2008 I'm about to order one of these cd players and was wondering what you guys think would be better out of the 2. Reliability? Dependability? I have a old Clarion DXZ435 and it still works like new it's 3-4 years old. I love it because you can play a cd that your dogs been chewing on without skipping at all, but I've always wanted an Alpine so any suggestions guys? 91Fox Posted January 31, 2008 Report Share Posted January 31, 2008 The alpine has 3 sets of pre-amps at 2 volts, whilst the clarion has 2 pair at 3.6. Clarion got it's ass handed to it in cd signal noise, 80db, while the alpine has 105. Alpine technically sounds better playing cds, but I've never used either one so I couldn't tell you which one is more reliable. Both are great brands, but I would go with the alpine. And thanks for checking out the specs I overlooked that but I knew what the volt output was for both. I'm runnin a crossover with 8 volt output so I should be good.
