Need input on a potential purchase

I have come across a deal that involves some AQ HDC3 12's. One is (allegedly) a brand new recone with D1, dual spider, 8 layer flat wound aluminum coil with CF dustcap. The other is the same sub but blown and will need a recone. I can pick the pair of these up for stupid cheap. My thing is, does anyone know how I could go about finding a way to match the current recone on the good one and how much it could potentially cost? It seems like a custom job. If I have to recone them both, the cheapness may not be so stupid after all.

Also, does anyone have any experience with these woofers? I hear they need huge boxes. I was hoping to just drop them into my current setup which is 2.25 cubes per chamber with 14in2 port/ ft @ 32 hz. They seem to have a pretty high Fs @ 43 hz.
