wellington
Is an active crossover out of the question? I got my xec-700 for $30 used on CL and vifa's can be bought for $50-$80 a pair. I prefer an active cross over a passive one because it's adjustable... Here is a link to vifa tweeters. From what I hear, anything over 20k is not needed so focus on the 777-20,000 hz frequency range ones They range from 25w rms to 80w rms each. I had a pair and loved them but I did not cross them and they fried. They were silk and sounded amazing. Aluminum or titanium will sound more TISS TISS while silk will sound warm and smooth, I think.... http://www.parts-express.com/brand/vifa/tweeters/225_17 2010 HHR LT - DNX 6160 - sony xec-700 - sony xm-4040 for door mids - XM-6020 for tweets in a-pillar - saz1500d v1 - VVME RD-12 1.75 f^3 32hz guru and president of the "cheap asses trying to beat up the block with bargain bin woofers" club
