WastedTalent Posted February 5, 2013 Report Share Posted February 5, 2013 Here in texas they let you get custom plates for up to 10 years Any Custom Background and any combination 6 digits prices: $194 for a 1 year $495 for 5 year $595 for 10 year Also from time to time they offer a 7 digit plate option. Its pretty kool. 10 seems like a lot but its not... basic tags are $60 a year. 60 x 10 is $600 its still $5 cheaper to buy a 10 year. Tags are transferable as well. That is so cheap. Cali is only a year at a time, and my tags were 236 this year. Custom plates are 98 initially fee, and 78 extra a year after that. WHy is California broke? We pay a lot of money. Think Colo is worse. Goes with the value of your vehicle and all, but I registered a 2010 Lancer and that was $282 or so. Can't wait to register a 2013.
