KickerKid58 Posted February 5, 2013 Report Posted February 5, 2013 I really like the look of the newer jeeps and am thinking of getting one this summer. Does anyone here own (or have owned) an '05 or '06 Grand Cherokee and have any opinions of it? I test drove one the other day and thought it was quite comfortable. Not a huge fan of not having the option to switch in and out of 4wd but thats just one of my stupid little peves. Just curious if anyone has had any negative experiences. Thanks! fritosaregood Posted February 5, 2013 Report Posted February 5, 2013 when i was looking after my 04 grand cherokee got totalled, I kept seeing from 05 to 07 was having electrical issues, and after 08 it was better. Then I got a 2012 and it had a cylinder problem during the machining process that threw out a misfire code. alexsracing Posted February 5, 2013 Report Posted February 5, 2013 the inside door handles broke all 4 , the shifter plastic broke , the nighttime gauge illumination flickers from day to night now. other than that it gets poor millage 12mpg mine is a 05 cherokee limited 2 DC Audio 5.0K's DB Drive A7 175.4 mids and highs amp Birch Box with 2 DC lvl 5 15's 2 shuriken sk-bt100 and 2 XS power D2400 batteries and 1 yellow top up front1 Mechman 320 ALT 2 db drive super tweeters 2 orion neo 8" in front doors 2 db pro audio 6.5 in the rear doors fully dynamatted
