treo subs

im in the market for a new 15" i found some used treo ssx subs at a shop for 350 ea just wundering if they r worth it .. they look heavy duty and the suspension is still stiff .. any input is welcome .. and thank u

alpine head unit (freebee 2009 model)2 sets of eclpise 5.25 comp. speakers.

1. set is in the a-pilors

1. memphis mojo 2500 watt amp

1. rockford fosgate t2 15"

dual 2 ohm wired to 4 ohm . seeing 600 watts

1. realm audio 600 watt 4ch

Im not sure what treo even retails for, but they make awesome subs, would like to try an ssx 12" for fun, anywhere sell these online?

nah not on line but in a shop near my parents house .. he has 2 of them .. the were in a new style camaro and they hit so hard it was tearing apart the car . im just learie about buying used gear ..

well, the first thing you can check, I bet you the suspension should be tight as hell, so, harder to push the cone down, if they are loose and floppy, then they are worn out, now given will still hit hard, BUT not as hard as they could,

Now this is only an educated guess, but at the level of woofer that is the suspension should be really tight, but if they were beaten hard for years then it could be pretty loose
