02 trailblazer Cabin gain and tuning of box? Move to sub section pls

Say you have a truck that peaks in the 43hz range and you want to build a box for daily driving.

Wouldnt you tune to low 30's since you will get the hump from cabin gain anyways.

Truck is a 2002 trailblazer and the upper notes hit very loudly when i put a box in tuned at 36hz so im thinking if i build one at 32-33hz i can tame those upper 45hz plus notes? While getting good low extension?

Or has anybody got a tuning recommendation if they have used a trailblazer 2002 plus before?

Music is mainly rap with some electro and rock.

The box i put in here tuned around 36-37hz hits very hard but im going to try to see how a new box tuned to 32-33hz will perform in here to try to calm down the exxagerated 40hz plus.

Team ht, can you let me know what you think about cabin gain in relation to tuning a box?
