get your headunit in ASAP, start upgrading electrical Big3 and batteries, then get a nice 2k amp, and a pair of 12s in a nicely built enclosure...

your running super budget stuff now, they are just telling you what would be better for a more satisfying setup, honestly not many people here are fans of Hifonics or Kicker...

Ima put it in soon do the big 3 and see. Why everyone be hating on hifonics and kicker? Thinking bout goin with fi or some hcca's

because hifonics doesn't make quality products anymore.

look into audioque/soundqubed. just about the cheapest, loudest, equipment you can get. but you wont be able to fit their 15's. AQ woofers need big boxes and a shit ton of port. i mean like, 6 cubes for a 2 12" box.

that Hifonics and Kicker are making money off of their past and not really on par with alot of the current stuff out there...

you should look into Fi subs...also take a look at SoundQubed/AQ...they have nice subs and amps that are at good prices too!

Lol its the best amp ive had...but guess not. Whats a good but not crazy expensive amp....dc amps any good

dc amps are good, but are expensive as shit. you'll pay like $600 for a 2k amp.

aq/sq amps are fantastic too. or crescendo. its all basically identical shit anyway lol.
