J.Weeks22 Posted February 9, 2008 Report Share Posted February 9, 2008 I'm building a wall in my honda accord. i did a test run to see how the bass sounded before i finished it all out. It sounded horrible. i haven't paneled it off yet, so basically its just a box shooting foward. Is this gonna make a difference on the sound quality? The bass is really muffeled sounding. It sounds like the enclose is just in the open. Is this because there's too much air getting to it? My enclosure is 10 cub's. I'm working with 2 15 inch Kicker L7's and a zx 1500.1 amp. Does anyone have any idea's on what i can do to make this work? The only thing that was different was the ported enclosure that i had them in, which i still have. It slammed and sounded real clean. I tried the same ported enclosure that i had in my scion xb in the honda. But the same thing happened... it just sounds like the box is sitting outside. I really don't think that the amp is the problem, plus its only turned up half way and if i turn it up anymore the sound quality gets even worse but thanks for the suggestion. Also i started the box off at 11 cub's ported in a wall but the sound quality was absolutly horrible. So, I cut the port off and the box down some to come to about 10 cub's... it still sounds bad, a little better but still bad. If anyone has any idea's on how i should build this as far as a blow through, wall, etc... please let me know.
