11Staffordr
Would any of this help with the initial problem I had of the output meter redlining? And if not how much would this help in other aspects?
Avery Howell
Honestly I don't how those meters work, but adding all this stuff would help the amplifiers and would give you almost no voltage drop at all giving you the full output all the time and it would be less strain on your electrical system. Give me a sec and I'll try to figure out you VU issue... 2012 Jeep Wrangler 3.6 W/ 6 Speed Build Log 2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor 6.2 Build Log YouTube
larrys95civic
Get a DMM and test at your amp to see if the cap is helping or not, play it for a while with it off and then put it on and see. A good cap can help. Next how is it grounded right now? Also how is your head unit tuned? 11Staffordr
Yes it is. I'm running a double din pioneer touchscreen. And the amps are grounded to a ground bolt drilled into the floor of the trunk with about a foot of ground wire. Paint has been grinded away so its a clean metal to metal contact
Avery Howell
Larry is probably a better person to help with the VU issue. Not really my area of expertise. 2012 Jeep Wrangler 3.6 W/ 6 Speed Build Log 2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor 6.2 Build Log YouTube

11Staffordr
Oh. How is it tuned. Its set so the sub is at 0db of bass boost and all the settings for the sub are flat.

Avery Howell
Both amps are grounded to the same bolt Yeah. I would ground them both to the frame at least 12 inches apart. 2012 Jeep Wrangler 3.6 W/ 6 Speed Build Log 2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor 6.2 Build Log YouTube
