evermaxx Posted March 20, 2013 Report Posted March 20, 2013 I had 4 kicker CVR D4 at .5 ohm Well today I decided to put the other two in today, wired the same way as with the other four. Meaning it'll be at 1.3ohm, without an tuneing I played it and it hit half way thru the song and went into protect. I turned down the gain and same thing.. My question is, adding in the 2 extra sets of wire into the amp could that cause it to go into protect? This amp has never went into protect, ever lol. larrys95civic Posted March 20, 2013 Report Posted March 20, 2013 Make sure all your connections are clean, no little stray strands of copper hanging out anywhere. Also what is your electrical like? can it support .5? And are you running all 8 off of 1 amp?
