what is better for my subs

Hi all I have 2 subs at 1000rms @2 ohms now I have a choice of 2 amps 1 is a mono block that will give me 1x1000rms @ 2 ohms or I could go with a 2 channel 2 x650 rms at 2 ohms . My question is will the mono only give 500 rms over 2 subs .? What will give me the most output ? Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question lol

The subs are bass face the mono block is also bass face but the 2 channel is lanzar hth

think of everything as a circuit.
If you wire both subs together to get 1 ohm then both speakers will get whatever 1 ohm would be for that amp.

So if I had a 1 ohm stable mono block at 1000rms and wired 2 subs to make 1 ohm they would both receve 1000rms and not 500eatch ?

yup, its the resistance youre looking for not the amount of subs.

1 ohm is 1 ohm, the amp doesnt know the difference

Would it work ok to wire duel voice coil parallel to make 2 ohms then wire the 2 subs series to take it to 4 ohms

if you want.. but it would be better to get em down to 1 ohm to get more power.
4 ohms is usually more of a SQ thing
