BrettAlthoff Posted March 29, 2013 Report Posted March 29, 2013 starting new build with my 2 12" re audio subs, having troubles finding a place to run my 0 gauge power wire from the battery? anyone with this car found a good place for it to work? also my friend is usually the one hooking them up so wondering if anyone can help me with how to wire my subs into the box, and wire them up to my 1 channel amp... my box has two terminals but i need it to be going off the one terminal so it can go to the 1 channel amp.. help would be greatly appreciated 2000 oldsmobile alero (2) rockford fosgates 4x6's (2) rockford fosgates 6x9's (1) hifonics zrx2000.10 (2) re adudio se-x d2 12" big three

BrettAlthoff Posted March 29, 2013 Author Report Posted March 29, 2013 its kind of making sense to me, but a sketch would probably be alot more beneficial if you could do the wiring diagram with the cap involved? it would be a huge help 2000 oldsmobile alero (2) rockford fosgates 4x6's (2) rockford fosgates 6x9's (1) hifonics zrx2000.10 (2) re adudio se-x d2 12" big three

Omega5002 Posted March 29, 2013 Report Posted March 29, 2013 Since you have 2 dual 2 ohm subs, you can either wire to 2 ohms or .5 ohms( I don't recommend)Here's a picture for you 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)
Omega5002 Posted March 29, 2013 Report Posted March 29, 2013 Then wire each sub in series to a 4 ohm load to each terminalLike this except for the box terminalDo the same for the 2nd subSince the Hifonics has 2 sets of + and -, wire each sub to each set, and the amp with bring the load down to 2 ohms 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)
BrettAlthoff Posted March 29, 2013 Author Report Posted March 29, 2013 that visual definately helps, how exactly is the cap going to work with it? and i wanna hook the ground of the amp up first and then the power after hooked to the battery right? 2000 oldsmobile alero (2) rockford fosgates 4x6's (2) rockford fosgates 6x9's (1) hifonics zrx2000.10 (2) re adudio se-x d2 12" big three
BrettAlthoff Posted March 29, 2013 Author Report Posted March 29, 2013 oh so i just hook the 0 gauge right into the cap and then out of it? seems simple enough 2000 oldsmobile alero (2) rockford fosgates 4x6's (2) rockford fosgates 6x9's (1) hifonics zrx2000.10 (2) re adudio se-x d2 12" big three
Omega5002 Posted March 29, 2013 Report Posted March 29, 2013 You wire to a capacitor like how you would wire to a battery though I hope you're not using the cap to help with poor electrical. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)
