bassfreake Posted April 1, 2013 Report Posted April 1, 2013 personally I don't see why you couldn't keep that amp and use it on your mids or highs or something... I'm looking at running 2 mids per tweeter in each door on my build and I decided it was easier to just do one amp dedicated for mids and one dedicated for highs. are you running speakers to 2 doors or 4? If 2 personally I would say just go ahead and run your mids through that amp 2 speakers in one channel and 2 in the other wired parallel. bassfreake Posted April 2, 2013 Report Posted April 2, 2013 doing at least some research yourself might help ppl be more interested in answering your questions... and different ppl like different things so just saying "what should I get" doesn't really help you much and then if you let everyone else do ALL your thinking for you it no longer is your build but it starts becoming a conjoined build by the SMD forum just on your dime. just sayin bro do some reading on the forum yourself, do some searching for stuff, look at various speakers and subs yourself and put some thought into your questions when you do ask questions and do your research before you ask the questions too that way people can see you're actually trying to do it and you're just using the forum for clarification of something you've researched, or for asking for specific information about a particular item that you know what you're looking for you just don't know where to find it or something. Vic Damone Posted April 2, 2013 Author Report Posted April 2, 2013 Well see problem is my first bills I feel wasn't done entirely right I was running 2 15s kicker L7 and I didn't really know what I was looking for I just kept the factory head unit wired the amp and bought some crutchfield plug and play speaker don't get me wrong it was loud but I knew I could've pushed more out of them just this time I want to do everything right. What I want to do is run 2 mids each door and 1 tweeter per pair of mids does design play a factor such as bullet or dome? And sounds stupid but isn't 1.2k alot for mids? and are crossovers usually necessary with mids and highs?

bassfreake Posted April 2, 2013 Report Posted April 2, 2013 1.2k is some fairly serious power on mids yes... But your amp wouldn't do 1.2k... It's rated for 600w x 1 bridged @ 1 ohm iirc...
