Splicing tweeters. yay or nay?

I'm planning on getting the pyramid TW36's http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_10305_Pyramid-TW36.html

I don't have the money to buy an amp for just my speakers, so I was wondering if I could splice these up in the back of my car with my Alpine 6.5"

I know that it takes away some of the power, but is it significantly? and all my speakers are tuned for only mids/highs seeing how I have 2 12"s
