i was wondering if i was to wire my subs ++-- (d2) that should make it 1ohm correct? the t40001bd are putting the max out at 1ohm. but now if i was to wire two subs ++-- ++-- but not in series but seperately to the amp would that still be at 1ohm at the make? hope this makes sense

My New Build checklist:

(3) 18'' btl fully loaded d2

if you wired two subs ++--++-- (parallel) then you'd have to have the dual 4s, each sub would then be wired at 2 ohm, wire both into the amp and the amp would see a 1 ohm load. what subs do you have?

2-DC 15XLM2 D.7s

1-DC 5K amp

(1) XS Power D6500(UNDERHOOD) and (1) XS3000(REAR)

3 runs 1/0ga for power and 2 runs of 1/0ga for negative.

(2)-RFT165s components, ...... 4 separate 1 inch tweetersRF T600-2(fronts) Punch 450.4(rear)

Audiocontrol 3.1.

they are dual 2 ohms so i wouldnt be able to have the amp see 1 ohm then?

so what subs do you have?

oh sorry fi btl 18 fully loaded d2

yeh you'll only be able to do a 2 ohm load and the amp. unless you get two smaller 1 ohm stable amps and run master/slave

hmm so if i was to put one sub in my car with one t4k at 1ohm in about 9cubes it should be louder than the two at at higher ohm with less power in the same cubic feet right?

not necessarily. personnally i think with two 18s vs just one ............ the two 18s with the lower power will outdo the one 18 because of cone area.

so i should just leave the two 18's in and get that t4k and wire it at 2ohm and get the 3kw+ to the both and wait till i get the other t4k and change it to one ohm

if i was you i'd get the T4k regardless if it would have to be played at 1 ohm. or you could always go with two T2ks and you'll be able to play them both at 1 ohm each.
