Mike Boots
When I connect my negative battery terminal to chassis it sparks and begins to melt wire/post.. what am I doing wrong?
Babyjuice
I would say disconnect the power wire so you're not making a circuit.... I might be wrong but who knows, I've never had that problem with the positive wire disconnected. BABYJUICE
Mike Boots
That would work until i try to connect positive to battery then that would spark instead.
Stephen Dunnington
It will only spark for a second due to the fact that it's live power ;p don't feel too bad, I just smoked my jumper cables in less than 10 seconds due to me not paying attention and mixed my cables

Mike Boots
I'm trying to do the big 3 upgrade. on a side note can i use the car without the chassis ground but all the rest connected? Can i even use my system? Jw cause if i cannot resolve this soon i must drive home and I don't wanna undo all my work atm.
Stephen Dunnington
Yes you can still very easily run your system, the big 3 just allows max power/ground
Stephen Dunnington
Depending on the gauge wire your using that is
Mike Boots
That would work until i try to connect positive to battery then that would spark instead.......wut? If I disconnect my power and connect my chassis ground there would be no spark but once I try and connect my possitive it would spark instead.
