Mr Bigolsworth
I currently have 1 alpine type r 12 in a ported box and like the volume but would like better quality. Should I go with two in a sealed box or just build a better box for my single 12. How do you the volume would compare for 1 12 ported compared to 2 12's sealed. Thanks for your opinion. 2002 chevy avalanche Currently have: 2 dc xl 18 set of T2652-s scv-6k Ct sounds 75.4 270a mechman xp3000 d3400 Wanted: saz 200.4 Second set of T2652-s D3100's deadner
Cboeger
Sealed is always going to be quieter then ported.
Mr Bigolsworth
Well I understand but two type r's sealed vs one type r? You really think two sealed would be quiter then a single ported 12 2002 chevy avalanche Currently have: 2 dc xl 18 set of T2652-s scv-6k Ct sounds 75.4 270a mechman xp3000 d3400 Wanted: saz 200.4 Second set of T2652-s D3100's deadner

Mr Bigolsworth
I don't want to give up 4.5 cubic feet of my trunk. I can do two sealed at 1 cubic foot each or one ported at 2.25 cubic feet. I like the idea of having a sealed box for better quality sound. Just wondering what u think would be louder one ported or two sealed. 2002 chevy avalanche Currently have: 2 dc xl 18 set of T2652-s scv-6k Ct sounds 75.4 270a mechman xp3000 d3400 Wanted: saz 200.4 Second set of T2652-s D3100's deadner
Off the Wall
A properly built and tuned ported box will far out perform a sealed box, even when compering two subs in a sealed box to one sub in a ported enclosure. NotSatisfied5
Ever looked at Dc lvl 2? Comes in 10",12",15". Won't take up a lot of trunk space if you do a 10 or 12.
