Came out beautiful man! Great work on the carbon fiber and the paint!

Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are!

I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating!

Haha right ;)

I may try my hand out on my dash in the future..more for strength than for looks but we will see. Love the idea of it!

so quick question..to do carbon fiber ontop of plastics...say a dash...how much prep work do you need to do the plastic? and would the curing get hot enough to say warp the plastic? I'm really concidering doing a layer of carbonfiber on the dash...for strength more than looks...maybe haha!

Well the area you are gonna cover needs to be nice, even and smooth (No wrinkles). So prep work depends on you. You will have to sand down the texture (wrinkles) to an even flat surface and once its nice and even, you will have to make it black again by putting a layer of resin with black pigment on it (look at my previous pieces). And to answer your question, No, your dash will not warp from the heat produced by the resin. Hell, i pop the bubbles of the resin with a heat gun. Just make sure you don't hover over the same area with the heat gun, keep going back and forth with it. So it all depends on how much time and prep work you wanna put into it. But the longer you put into making the surface ready and perfectly smooth, the better your dash will look when it's all done. Also remember that you have to be very careful on laying down the cf. You should start on some small flat piece just to practice first.
