Ram, 2 18's in A STICKERBOMBED 4th! Vids on last page!

Recommended Posts

I got a bit done today. Not much since I slept through my alarm, but enough to get me going.

Heres what I had picked up from the Junkyard. Panels off a 2500 extended cab. Same exact panels, just has all the luxury stuff. (pockets, power window/lock etc)

Perfect fit

I WILL be able to get 4 8's in here, so that's a plus. Only doing two for now, leaving space for more later on.

Pulling the carpet off and cutting everything down to size

Though I didnt get a chance to use it today (lack of jasper jig) I splurged and spent 76 bucks for this and a set of bits.

Starting to score the surface for glassing.

Looking good

Thank god these pyles have such a small mounting depth.

I'll be making a nice mesh cover with magnets for snapping in place, so I needed to make a trim. Since Edge Band isn't available locally, I went to Lowe's and got the next best thing. Thin as fuck, I hope it holds up to the glass.

I'll be laying some resin on the edges of this to stiffen it up.

Both ready to mount

Between being lazy for pics and getting angry because my staple gun is a piece of shit, I only managed to snap two pictures.

20130519_170749_zps03c1b238.jpg

That's all I did for today. My staple gun didn't necessarily have the strength to get through the panels with ease, so stapling took a hell of a lot longer than I anticipated. On top of that, my stretches are all kinds of fucked up, so I'll be having fun with the bondo this time around, ffs.

Anyway, I'll start the glass and bondo Tuesday morning depending on the time I get out of class. Expect more pictures Tuesday night.

Where did u get that thin trim material?

Lowes. It's birch veneer trim. It's really thin and is starting to warp under the weight of the glass, more than it already was lol.

Doors are looking good so far.

Thanks man. I'll be having quite the time with bondo, lol.
