how are volfenhag head units?

I'm thinking of getting a new head unit, I've been looking around and know I don't want to spend a lot.. sooo without further ado any suggestions? and are volfenhag headunits any good?

pos like dual, Jensen and other crappy eBay ones imo. You need a under 100$ head unit go with the lower pioneer model, still has USB and sub preouts..no frills but works well. Installed one in my exgf truck.look at jvc too.

for pioneer I was looking at the DEH-80PRS but that looks like too much money for me so I think im going to go with the DEH-1300MP or the kenwood KDC-152

i would do the updated one I posted over the 1300...the 1300 is an older model. Still cool budget head unit, and I've put one in for a friend, but I would get the newer 2500ui for only 10$ more.

This JVC unit has ipod control, and front, rear(sub switchable) rca outputs, the pioneer only has one set, but will still work. Plus the JVC has 2.5v preouts, the lowend pioneers only have 2v, vs the 4v that the upper end ones have.

Your talking a huge price gap between a 80prs and POS volfenhag crapunit, I gave you some better alternative in the sam price range as the Volfengag.

Give me set budget and do you have a 4channel and sub amp or just sub amp?

I have 2 Memphis mojo 15s and a fosgate monoblock amp on the subs I know my car has a factory amp but I doubt it works anymore seeing how its 15 years old the current head unit is an old AIWA that came installed in the car. I haven't really thought about updating the head unit because it works fine till I installed these Memphis power reference 6x9 speakers and they kept setting off the internal amp in the hu im looking to get a new headunit for anywhere from 50-90 dollars I also want to try to get one of those ones that automatically cancel large amounts of bass to the speakers/ tweeters but run a full amount of bass to the subs. my old neighbor had a hu that did that and I forgot the brand

I can easily get a new 4 channel amp to run the speakers though this shop around here has an alpine 4ch that has the plug in terminal that the stock amp in my car has

You need a headunit that has a built in HPF for the speakers, and LPF for the sub. Let me look around for you, ill keep in mind the 50-90$

On pioneers website it says it has HPF/LPF ability.
