wowfun2
After abuse with Kenwood 9105D for almost 2 months still solid and happy with it but I'm planning on upgrade amplifier getting Q1-1200D stable at 2 Ohms all day for my CVR 2 12 kickers. Kenwood 9105D is stable at 2 Ohms yes but when the bass note hits sometime it would randomly hit soft note then resumes hard in middle of bass note... I have to keep gain down at little low voltage to avoid that crap. The question is will this handle at 4 gauge cable? I am using a real 4 gauge power from Knuzconcept. I will be getting top red battery from optima as for my second battery and going for Big 3! I know 4 gauge can handle upto 1800W system but since this is real deal with Q1-1200D running 1200 @ 2 ohms and I've seen half people use 0 gauge power and some use 4 gauge still. This is the amp I'm planning on getting in next month or sooner! http://www.soundqubed.com/Q1-1200D-Amplifier_p_30.html Any suggestions would be great... if you can find a decent amp that can handle 2 Ohms stable with amount good power I'm open for feedback. My budget is only under $250 I know 1200D Q1 is $12 more but that the only best price I can find so far for that kind amp to handle 2 Ohms. k3n12ock
AQ1200 accepts 0/1 so yes the 4 gauge will work. Also, Knu is oversized vs the majority of other companies 4 guage. 05 xB - (2) EVIL 18s - (2) BC3500s - NO WALL Channel 1: http://www.youtube.com/k3n12ock Channel 2: http://www.youtube.com/MrK3n12ock2
Bump4life
that amp does 1200 @ 1 ohm. not at 2 ohm. i personally used 0 gauge on that amp but you need to get 0 gauge to 4 gauge reducers. keep in mind i was also running it at .5 ohm. honestly it all depends on how long the run to your battery is and how hard you are beating on it. if you are running at 2 ohms, then 4 gauge is plenty. if you are running at 1 4 gauge is honestly fine as long as its a quality OFC run such as your KNU wire considering it being OFC. if you really fee the need for 0 gauge and have the $$ then go for it, but 4 guage should be fine especially if being run at 2 ohms Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now. That what I want to do run at 2 Ohms all day especially for my subs handle @ 2 ohm dual voice coil. I'm not sure what do you mean OFC? 2 12 Kickers CVR | Kenwood 9105D @ 2 Ohms | Box tuned 39 hertz low custom | Nissan Maxima 01 SE 3.5 | I have no idea what my dB at "If you hear me Booming around the block then you better be prepared to call the police on me before I drive-by your house!" Bump4life
OFC = Oxygen Free Copper. If you have Knukonceptz wire do you have KCA or KOLLSUS? Kollsus = OFC. KCA = Copper-clad Aluminium. and if you are running at 2 ohms, 4 gauge will be fine. but you do realize that amp does closer to 500 watts @ 2 ohms? I'm using KCA I got it off ebay few months ago great product very strong cable! I do not realize that it 500 watts @ 2 ohms according to the site it says 870w at 2 ohms am I missing something here now?! 2 12 Kickers CVR | Kenwood 9105D @ 2 Ohms | Box tuned 39 hertz low custom | Nissan Maxima 01 SE 3.5 | I have no idea what my dB at "If you hear me Booming around the block then you better be prepared to call the police on me before I drive-by your house!" From what my Kenwood doing I have good flexing... I can see window flexing even my windshield little bit too. I'm a guy more into deep nasty long low hertz and hard hitting. This summer I'm going to build a probox for my kickers. I heard those give you nasty hertz. 2 12 Kickers CVR | Kenwood 9105D @ 2 Ohms | Box tuned 39 hertz low custom | Nissan Maxima 01 SE 3.5 | I have no idea what my dB at "If you hear me Booming around the block then you better be prepared to call the police on me before I drive-by your house!"
