95neon_thumper82 Posted August 25, 2013 Author Report Posted August 25, 2013 oh and I got the tubing cut for the port I decided to go internal with the port... sitting at about 12 inchs total port length. for a tuning of approximately 35hz. got my old terminal holes covered glued and screwed. so that's done... 95neon_thumper82 Posted August 27, 2013 Author Report Posted August 27, 2013 quick up dates... got the baffle installed. .. port side view cut my tube to 11 inches for a full foot or assembled actual port length. giving me roughly a tuning of 35hz. duct taped it so I could fiddle with the tuning some then got ready to paint... I over sand the front and back and made it fuzzy... that was a whore to deal with later but lesson learned. three coats of primer. two coats of finish satin black port side gently set it in the trunk and put the subs in.... and the port.... the baffle I installed had to be trimmed a little to fit the magnets but I got that taken care of. here's from the port side the port face the passenger compartment. you can see the purple color on the baffle. I was referring to baffle in the common sense. as to change the flow of a gas or liquid. I'd be more worried about obstructing the rear wave from those subs and getting a nasty byproduct. The port isn't directly behind either sub and I doubt unloading world have been an issue. If anything, I would have placed that piece of wood much closer to the port, than close to the subs like you chose to do. What was preventing you from forward firing the box with a slot port in the middle? You could have made trim panels to seal it off and everything. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
