Running Dif Batteries?

I currently have a Kinetik 1400 in my stock battery area. For my rebuild i was thinking about keeping that up front and putting (2) XS 3100s in the back. Any problems with that? I recently read that batteries counter each other sometimes? I realize its easier to run all the same kind of battery but i fdont want to replace my Kinetik because its a decent battery for up front and already spending money on the rebuild.

I want to know about this too I have always heard it wasn't good but never heard any proper reasoning behind it

The only input I have is that the age of the batteries will he different. The old battery can pull power from the new one to keep at a constant voltage witch can kill a new battery. But other then that as long as the chemistry is the same.... There will be no problem mixing them. Chime in if I'm wrong

The only time it's bad is, if you mix regular SLI batteries (VRLA) with AGM. Tooooo many people are now building humongous battery banks and keeping their regular battery under the hood. This is a really BAD IDEA as they float at different voltages, AGM's also have the ability to discharge and recharge at lightening speed. *what covi1234 was getting at*

Regular SLI are good for just that, starting, lights and ignition...

Same goes for mixing Gel batteries...

In your case, it's absolutely fine. Assuming the Kinetic is in good working order!?

Yeah my kinetik is perfect, my electrical is overkill right now so its happy. But just checking to make sure i can run the (2) 3100s later down the road as well
