Moley
My Hifonics BRZ2100.1D just died. I'm looking at a Soundstream RUB1.2500D to replace it as it's one sexy amp! My electrical is 110 amp alternator, massive AGM battery under hood and the BIG 3. The Hifonics amp did just fine on this I believe because it's power supply is unregulated and if the voltage drops it won't pull more current to compensate. So I'm concerned that because the Soundstream has a regulated power supply that it won't be ok on my electrical because if the voltage drops it will pull more current compensate. This isn't a vs thread but rather a theory thread on current draw with my setup. Should I go regulated or non regulated power supply with around 2K of output on my electrical? Thanks for any input.
