2006 F-250 (supercab) budget system

Recommended Posts

So ive been working on this setup for quite some time now.. With my limited budget for sounds these days it has been difficult for me to put together a proper system.. I got a big bonus this quarter and was able to sneak away some money to get the final components for my build.. My trusty 10 year old 1501bd finally went up in smoke for no good reason a couple months ago so I have been searching for some decent/cheap power. Here is a list of what I am running/have installed.

Fosgate 1/0 Guage power, ground, distribution block.

I had originally intended to get both amps on the back wall but without significant modification of the rear seat back I couldnt pull it off.. The lightning tucks in neatly under the bench seat though and the ppi will fit on the back wall without issues. I do intend on opening up the BK1800 and posting up some guts photos, that is if there isnt a warranty void sticker on it ;). I am pleased with the performance of the peel and seal roof repair as a deadening material, it works very well and was a very easy material to work with. I did however "gas out" the tar smell with a heat gun as I applied it thus preventing any nasty smells in the interior later.. Even so it did not smell horribly even with intense heat applied.
