Sundown X or Zv3, 15" or 18" ? (im limited with the box.)

hello.

i have 1.6k RMS

and my trunk can hold max of 6 c.f box, maybe 6.5 (gross volume)

i have no problem of building a smaller box aswell (cheaper and less weight)

my goal is to hit 25-30 hz for daily use.

want it to be as loud as possible.

just sold two subs hertz hx380d, that i had in a 5.5 c.f box, i had 142.1@52hz, they were playing too high (box was tuned to 33hz)

so i decided to sell them and get one single sub in a suitable box.

at first i was locked at the zv3 18. but now with the X series, i am not so sure.

if i understand correctly, the X series are built for the lows, and they will kill the 25-30 hz

so i think it will be the best option for me.

and for the Zv3, the power i have is not enough, only 1.6k

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I'd get an X-18 over the Zv3-18 based on what you are wanting to kill the lows. 1.6k watts of clean power would be a nice match.

What is your amp?

my amp is Celestra FA1.6k (rated 1650 RMS at 1 ohms)

i have 6 c.f before the displacements.

from the 6 c.f need to take off the sub displacement and the port displacement.

so i guess around 4.5 c.f for the sub, maybe 5 c.f, depends on the port.
