DJ_Stubbs
Trying to figure out how to make my system even better.I got 2 MB Quart 4" speakers in my trunk that i put into these panels that hold stuff like one has some fuses for my rear lights,And one i smaller than the other space wise, but they open and come out. Now when the bass hits when its loud it doesnt really sound too well. So i was thinking about throwing some dynamat material in there to line the area. But i was thinking about maybe changing out the speaker. its a 2-way. I want a neo woofer. i was thinking of just midrange because i have good tweeters above in my pillars. But i was also considering putting in another pair of tweeters above these speakers. So i could just take them out and put a midrange neo woofer. and put the tweeters in. Heres some options: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=290-212 http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=264-1046 http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=264-1056 http://www.ebay.com/itm/390564020747 - tweeters Heres the sound deadener i was considering. And i also need to do the rest of my trunk too. or atleast start because my sub is rattling everything now.http://www.ebay.com/itm/111055181016 - Deadener Lemme know what you guys think. I could spend 100$ or so. 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT 2.0L Flowmaster Single muffler + Tip 4 SoundQubed 6x9s 3-way PolkAudio PA660.4 2 MB Quart Tweeters 2 4" MB Quart 2-way New 8" coming soon! Chris Hammer
I don't understand..why are they going in your trunk?? Thos little drivers sound great but are not loud and wouldnt take any more power then rated. What are you trying to accomplish? DJ_Stubbs
Idk i dont have any space up front for anything. and my door speakers were all replaced. tweeters and 6.5sI have one spot for a 1-2" tweeter by my front window mirror pods but there isnt a whole lot of room to deal with. And its a hatchback so anyone in the car will be able to hear whats playing and if i have my trunk gate open too. 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT 2.0L Flowmaster Single muffler + Tip 4 SoundQubed 6x9s 3-way PolkAudio PA660.4 2 MB Quart Tweeters 2 4" MB Quart 2-way New 8" coming soon! Chris Hammer
For best sound I would ditch anything in the rear..only front stage. If the front isn't loud enough run an amp to them, or a larger amplifer. I had one 6.5 and one tweeter in each door and they kept up with my last setup with 4-12's...143db windows down. and one of the 6.5's was partially blown. But if you are really intent on keeping speakers back there I still would nto do the daytons...you are trying to get too much from a tiny littl 4" speaker. Why not do some 6x9s? DJ_Stubbs
I could go bigger then i guess, but why not do 6.5s or a 8" ive heard that circular produce better sound/bass response. And idk i guess i might as well leave it how it is. its loud, the hi's are good Mid needs to be a tad bit louder. but other than that it all sounds really nice. Ill probably just plug my door speakers up to an amp and not my HU. 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT 2.0L Flowmaster Single muffler + Tip 4 SoundQubed 6x9s 3-way PolkAudio PA660.4 2 MB Quart Tweeters 2 4" MB Quart 2-way New 8" coming soon!
