MonkeyMan
Since fitting this alternator, I've had a headunit faceplate fail (weird failure, like the controller IC was half damaged, possibly by a voltage spike... *cough*) And just the other week, I had the sub amp I was running fail. It was a 1500watt amp, running at 0.5ohm daily, however, it wasn't the amplifier stage that failed, it was the power supply fets that went short circuit.. the type of thing I'd normally attribute to insufficient batteries/alternator, however, I had three runs of 0ga to the single amp, with 180aH of batteries, and the 300amp alternator... So, I can only assume that mosfets don't like voltage spikes (which they don't...) hmm..
