Alpine Type S making weird noises & Punch 500-4 Question.

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone. I have a 3 week old type S 15 that makes a clicking noise at 15 hrz and under. I would normally disregard it because that's a low note and it may just be stressful, but the other one (identical sub, bought at same time) does not make any audible noise anywhere. the box is huge and tuned to 33 hrz.

My question is in regards to dropping the ohm load of two speakers so that I could run 2 ohms to an amp. The amp is a punch 500-4 and does 75watts@4OhmsX4 and 125 watts@2OhmsX4. I want to make use of that two ohm capability but there are very few speakers on the market that run coaxle at 2 Ohms (at least that I have seen) four coaxle speakers at 2 ohms that can put up with 125 watts RMS is what im looking for. please respond with any help, suggestions, kind words.

Thank you all, this forum is the best.

Sam
