jcnash71 Posted August 7, 2013 Report Share Posted August 7, 2013 I have a single sa 12 custom built box tuned to 33 hz @ about 2 cube i believe and whenever i play notes that really make the sub work, it makes noise that doesnt sound good..hard to describe but also the box flexes a lot..im sure that has something to do with it. audiofanaticz Posted August 7, 2013 Report Share Posted August 7, 2013 Sounds like your custom built box is built very poorly and most likely not anywhere built around the specs that the woofer would like and is causing you lots of issues.. A single 12 box, that is custom built, should not flex at all, even if there is no bracing it shouldn't be flexing unless assembly is just that poor.
