Frankies 89 s10 Blazer build

So today I broke out the "secret weapon", my 89 s10 Blazer. It is a 2 door 2wd with a 4.3. I rebuilt the engine about 15,000 miles ago. It has 2 inch drop spindles up front and 3 inch blocks in the rear. I havent driven my blazer in quite a while, the civic is much cheaper to drive since I live up in the hills, several miles from town. I never even managed to put the 2013 tags on it! Got it smogged and registered today!

Also lined up the crescendo 3k that matt14 was selling. I will be picking it up on Saturday.

This build is going to be on a relatively small budget compared to some, but circumstances have made it possible for me to do this. This is going to be more than I ever imagined I could even afford!

Right now, I am planning on getting a pair of soundqubed hdc3 18s. I was initially thinking dual 2 ohms wired to .5 because the crescendo can apparently handle it just fine. But I am really wanting to be able to run it for long periods for demos and such. So now I'm thinking dual 1's wired to 1 ohm to keep it nice and safe. Made an order from sky high to get some wiring started soon, I'm sure a couple more will follow. Also weighing some options on an alternator and a couple of batteries.

I was thinking box initially, but it will be difficult and very large to do what I want. I want to keep everything behind the rear seats so I can still drive the kiddos to school. Also, I have heard a few blazers with a box, and the rattling rear hatch/Window is just obnoxious! So I'm thinking wall! This way I will have enough cubes for the subs and enough room for equipment. I would like to do a sub on either side and the port up the center. Tuned at 32ish. My goals are to move some air and possibly some hair. Would like some decent numbers on the meter, but not priority.

If its a secondary vechical and needed a new motor why not vortec 350 swap. If your blazer came with a 4.3 its one of the easyest fuel injected swaps ever. But tuned in love some square body blazers

Decided against the wall, for now. I just can't bring myself to tear it apart like that yet. So I decided on a "coffin" style box that will lay on the floor with the back seats down. It will be subs up, port back. Doubled up with 5/8" MDF for everything. 17 3/4 cubes gross, 13 1/2 net, tuned to 32. I have the crescendo 3k in my possession now. The subs are on their way, along with a ton of the soundqubed sound deadener.

Wow, those are way out order! Oh well, you get the idea. It's actually almost finished at this point, I just haven't snapped any pics. I'll try to get some tomorrow.
