swishahouse22 Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 give me some time buddy and let me do my math and junk im pretty sure um those dimensions you posted is that the whole trunk cus im sure that my trunk is smaller not sure tho but im going to have to build in side the trunk but il get this drawn out
swishahouse22 Posted August 10, 2013 Report Posted August 10, 2013 is there no more height you can squeeze and your best bet is to have the sub face towards the back of the trunk cus the sub needs at least 12in between it and the back to make a complete cycle which is something ppl don't realize
swishahouse22 Posted August 11, 2013 Report Posted August 11, 2013 yea buddy I think a regular ported box will be best for your car and a bit easier cus the height is what the prob is but this is what I have for you... H 15' W 40' D 25' with the sub displacement of 0.25 and port volume of 1491 L the total net volume of your box will be 6 cubes tuned @ 32 hz with a port of 14in High and 5in wide and 21.3in depth
rsxguy Posted August 11, 2013 Author Report Posted August 11, 2013 I can go to like 17"high its a hatchback and I kinda want it to be flush with the backseat the width and depth are maxed out though
swishahouse22 Posted August 11, 2013 Report Posted August 11, 2013 ok then I think what I have will work instead of doing 15 high I no u had 16 but I didn't no that it was hatch back cus I took an inch off to have room to move
rsxguy Posted August 11, 2013 Author Report Posted August 11, 2013 Yea having the hatch makes it a lot easier with moving it in and out and building it on the outside of the car
swishahouse22 Posted August 11, 2013 Report Posted August 11, 2013 wish I could say the same for the cavalier lol
rsxguy Posted August 11, 2013 Author Report Posted August 11, 2013 So ill pretty much be using all my space should I have the port up with the sub just so it can breathe right
rsxguy Posted August 11, 2013 Author Report Posted August 11, 2013 Would I go 15" or 16" high earlier when you said 15 you said the port would be 14" high I would be usinng 3/4" wood so it would be 13.5" and the tuning would be off or is it a typo
